DCIM-EU Handbook now available

The handbook resulting from the project Trafficking in Human Beings, Data Collection and Harmonised Information Management Systems (DCIM-EU) is now ready and available for download here (pdf, 1,8 MB).

DCAF examines strategies against THB

The Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) has recently published a book that examines strategies against human trafficking.

New ICMPD project

A new ICMPD project, focusing on improving the effectiveness of national action plans against trafficking in human beings in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, started on 1 September 2009. Enhancing the effectiveness of national action plans against human trafficking in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. New ICMPD Project in Croatia

ICMPD held a Project Launch meeting for the Project Targeting niches in the anti-trafficking efforts: customised support for Croatia together with the Office for Human Rights of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. The Project launch took place on 19 November 2009 in Zagreb.   

The Project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Netherlands.

The Project Launch officially opened work on the project and welcomed all partners. The Head of the Office for Human Rights, Mr Luka Mađerić, the Head of Unit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Mr Frank van Beuningen, and Ms Elisa Trossero, ICMPD Programme Manager, addressed the attendees.

Close to 40 government officials, representatives of non-governmental organizations and diplomatic representations attended the Project Launch Meeting.
